Who doesn’t love a snowy winter elopement in the woods?! I don’t think Joseph or Irene (or myself, for that matter!) expected there to be as much snow on the mountain as there was that day, but it was still such a special surprise and a magical time to be surrounded by their loving family and closest friends. And I can officially say that I’ve been interrupted mid-shoot by a snowplow!
Irene rocked her white boots despite having to shuffle down the “aisle” in almost knee high snow! Props to you, girl! And Joseph’s baby blue suit popped beautifully against the wintery backdrop. I loved all of the special and giggly moments that happened because of changed plans, freezing our hands off, and other surprises in the day. And I love the challenge of shooting in the snow! It’s not easy, but the light works differently and gives me a whole new setting to be creative with. One of the best parts of the day was when their family and friends, with outstretched hands, prayed over Joseph and Irene as they begin their journey together as husband and wife.
Congrats, Joseph & Irene!
