the best parts of a wedding day rarely ask to be photographed
They're happening in the background while you're busy living it.
Your dad watching you from across the room. Your best friends laughing at a story they've heard a hundred times. The way your husband looks at you when you're talking to someone else. The champagne spilling over the edge of the glass because someone got a little too excited.
The beautiful, hilarious, fleeting little things you couldn't possibly notice yourself.
That's where I come in.
Knowing when to step in and give you direction, and when to leave you completely alone.
Knowing when we're about to make something ridiculously beautiful together, and when something even better is unfolding ten feet behind me.
Knowing which moments deserve to become art and which ones simply need to be remembered exactly as they happened.
Because while you're busy hugging your people, drinking the champagne, admiring the flowers you spent months choosing, tearing up the dance floor, and actually living your wedding...
I'm paying attention.
To the people... the energy... the beauty. To the tiny moments happening between the big ones.
You shouldn't have to experience your wedding while simultaneously trying to preserve it.
You live it. I'll notice the rest.
After 10 years and 300 weddings, I've learned that great wedding photography isn't just about knowing how to take a beautiful photo.

Real service means doing more than what’s “listed in packages.” It means being selfless with my time and energy to help make this the best day of your life. It’s the kind of service Jesus exemplified all the way to the cross.
My dad is my hero, and though I may not have him on this earth with me anymore, the essence of who he is and how he interacted with others as well as his work ethic lives inside of me, and is something I will strive to model for the rest of my life.
If I can offer even half the amount of excellence and dedication he put in day in and day out, my couples will be lucky indeed :)
