Knowing how to photograph candids means more than just taking photos of moments as they’re happening. It requires honing in on the art of anticipation. Anyone can take photos - but do they know how to anticipate those moments before they happen?
Knowing how to guide couples in the process of taking photos without losing the essence of who they are is also important. As I've said before, this client/photographer relationship is a constant give and take — I can’t properly guide you in creating photos that impact you without your full attention and willingness to embrace the process. And I need to constantly observe and check in on the experience you’re having as well in order to make sure that trust and connection remains present.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to book Kate as our wedding photographer. When we got our photos back, we were just in awe at how perfect everything turned out. I cried. We laughed.
I am so thankful we booked Kate. She did such an amazing job at capturing our special day. I feel like so many of the special, heartwarming moments that might have been overlooked by others she captured so beautifully--like the photos of my dad and husband helping my nephews get ready, for example.
And not only is she such a talented photographer, she was also like my literal personal assistant at times. Holding my train, pinning in my veil and reassuring me throughout the day. It all meant SO much and is truly priceless.
We absolutely LOVED working with Kate and we got so many compliments from our family and bridal party, as well, regarding how professional and efficient she was. She knows her stuff for sure!
