These two were such troopers for their engagement session! They live out here in Temecula by me, and so we drove up the mountain to try and catch some snow for their photos. We initially were at the ski resort up there, but then the security people told us we had to move up the road and not photograph at the resort haha! So we all walked up the road together about a half mile and climbed a semi-steep but very slippery hill to reach an area with snow. I am so glad we did though because the photos speak for themselves! I love snow because it acts as a natural reflector during the session which helps with that beautiful even lighting!
Once we had our fun in the snow, we headed to the lake to catch the sunset. We all actually arrived early to the first spot, and so we technically had an hour to kill before sunset. Cesar suggested grabbing some food, and so we headed to a Mexican restaurant in Big Bear, re-fueled for the last part of the shoot, got caught up in conversation that we almost missed the sunset light, raced to the second area for photos and finished it off with some dreamy blue hour light to end the session.
So thankful for every couple that entrusts me with the opportunity to capture these special times. And Cesar & Claudia were especially awesome for being so flexible and fun to work with the whole time! See you guys September 7th 😉
