There is a myth that you have to decide on only one style. That you have to choose either editorial or candid. But in reality - both of these styles can absolutely naturally happen on wedding day, and knowing how to infuse the best of both into your photos is my specialty.
I get it - You are searching through a sea of photographers where each one seems to be either completely candid, or completely editorial. But what if I told you you could have the best of both worlds?
Outside of even finding the style of photography you like though, you also want to feel like you can connect with and trust your photographer.
Making sure you vibe and that your personalities match is extremely important - but after looking at website and instagram after website and instagram - they seem to all be blurring together and sounding the same.
As if those two thoughts weren’t already stressful enough, I’m sure looking at photo after photo also has you worried about feeling completely natural and comfortable in front of the camera. You don’t want to feel awkward in this process, and you don’t want your photos to look awkward either.
(hint: no one 😉)
What you need to know is that I believe in serving. In the truest form of the word. Real service means doing more than what’s “listed in packages.” It means being selfless with my time and energy to help make this the best day of your life. It’s the kind of service Jesus exemplified all the way to the cross.
My dad is my hero, and though I may not have him on this earth with me anymore, the essence of who he is and how he interacted with others as well as his work ethic lives inside of me, and is something I will strive to model for the rest of my life.
If I can offer even half the amount of excellence and dedication he put in day in and day out, my couples will be lucky indeed :)
I was homeschooled my whole life
I’m an enneagram 7 (the enthusiast!)
I have 4 tattoos
I will always choose lemonade
I have a MAJOR sweet tooth
Radical service is a commitment to go above and beyond, not because it’s expected, but because it’s the essence of true dedication. It’s about seeing each interaction as an opportunity to create meaningful imagery, leaving a trail of positivity and transformation in its wake.
By the time you inquire through my contact page, I want you to feel like you already know me, and that I am a long lost friend.
Why? Because that’s what establishes trust.
A true friend notices the way your husband looks at you.
A true friend sees that tear before it falls.
A true friend feels the same joy you do when you say “I do.”
I’m there to keep you calm and get excited right alongside you - just like a true friend should. I’ll do all that and photograph it, so you can feel those feelings every time you look at your photos.
I heard a quote once that I think completely summarizes this thought: “Our pupils dilate automatically like they do when it's dark outside and they’re trying to let more light in. Except now it's the light of your favorite person. The edges of our eyes soften a little and they sometimes even get watery which we also can't control. Tears of joy. We tend to raise our eyebrows as if we're trying to make our eyes bigger. Trying to get a better vision and seeing all the details. We tend to blink less than usual just to make the moment last a bit longer. Even if it's just a second. Or when you smile at someone with your entire face involved and your eyes just crinkle and create a sparkle in them. And it all happens so effortlessly and universally.”

"Kate is truly the best! From when we got to meet her in person for our engagement session, we knew we made the right choice. Both our engagement photos and our wedding photos turned out beautiful. She took charge on wedding day and got pictures of everything we could imagine and more. Our wedding party and families were so impressed with how professional yet fun Kate is. More so than being incredibly talented, Kate is truly a good person. She is kind, funny, understanding, and really pours herself into her couples. She treats each couple as more than just a client. Thank you, Kate, for giving us the chance to relive our special day through your amazing photos!"
